D N ARCADI-VS P F AVG Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Arcadius facing, wearing pearl diadem and holding a spear with his right hand and a shield, decorated with a cavalryman riding over a fallen enemy, over left shoulder. Rev. NOVA SPES REI PVBLICAE / CONOB Victory seated right on cuirass, supporting on her left knee a shield which she inscribes XX/XXX; behind cuirass, shield. Depeyrot 54/2. RIC 22. A well struck and attractive example. Minor scratches and with some edge bumps and traces of mounting, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
